My cousin and I attended a flowerscape workshop on the last Saturday in June by floral artist, Jill Manson from Corollation Flowers and loved it! Corollation is a flower design school that host various different floral design courses for beginner to advanced flower lovers.
We started off the day at Buitengeluk where the workshop was held in the chapel. We helped ourselves to coffee and settled down whilst Jill introduced herself to the group. We were ask to briefly introduce ourselves to the rest and sharing the flowers that we love, these ranged from proteas to lilies to the all time favourite roses.
Jill introduced us to the three main types of flowers, namely rounds, linears and sprays and how they should be used together to create a beautiful harmonized bouquet. She also provided loads of tips and advice on how to make flowers last longer and how to pick the best ones to buy. We were asked to draw five cards each from a sachet of cards and choose the flowers that suited them best, which were all combined to create our lovilee bouquets.
The morning was wonderful, it provided a time for relaxation and sharing. A definite must for all those wanting to learn more about flowers and decoration using flowers.

I am a creative at heart, who likes being surrounded by pretty things. My new house was the main inspiration for Lovilee, finding time to prettify, paint and ponder about change. Coffee, lavender, numbers, the color purple and my jeans inspire me. I believe that you should do what you love and love what you do! -
