Crochet prettiness

I first saw this idea of a crochet doily table runner and DIY tutorial on Ashley Ann Photography. I fell in love with this vintage beauty and initially looked online for places to buy odd doily’s, but after failing, asked my mom (who is super mom when it comes to creating things I see from the web) to make me a table runner. And I wanted a symmetrical one!

Whilst preparing for this post, I stumbled across a local wedding rental company called Pebble & Lace. They specialise in all things vintage and to my surprise they rented out these runners for weddings! What a great and unique way to “vintagevy” your special day, they even have similar place-mats to rent. To view their full catalogue click here.

Another great way to make one yourself is to make use of the paper doilies that you can literally buy at almost any supermarket! You can get them in different shapes and sometimes different patterns, stick them together with sticky tape and amaze your guests! See this lovilee post by the sweetest occasion.

Whether you make one yourself, find it somewhere online, or rent it, it is sure to be the talk of the day!

about the author

I am a creative at heart, who likes being surrounded by pretty things. My new house was the main inspiration for Lovilee, finding time to prettify, paint and ponder about change. Coffee, lavender, numbers, the color purple and my jeans inspire me. I believe that you should do what you love and love what you do! -
