There is no doubt that dad will love any gift you buy him but sometimes a gift can just be a formality that doesn’t shout out how much he is loved and cared for. Making a father’s day gift is heaps of fun for the kids and their sentimental worth is far more than any gift of monetary value. Show Dad you care with one of the following sweet Father’s Day gifts and cards.
Gift nr 1:
I asked my oldest son a bunch of rudimentary questions about his dad. His honest response was so endearing that I got him to do one for Grandpa as well. I had the answers printed and after he printed his name at the bottom, I had it framed. I’m sure his dad will be pleased to know that his son thinks he is very smart because he wears lots of cool clothes!
Gift nr 2:
I got the following “I love you this much” card idea from the Tiffkeetch site.
It’s super easy…
1. Trace your child’s hand and then cut out two copies.
2. Cut out a strip of paper and fold it accordion style. She suggested using letter rub-ons or stickers to add the words “I Love You” on the outside of each hand and “This Much” on the strip of paper but I just wrote it on in my neatest hand writing possible!
3. Glue the ends of your accordion strip on the insides of the hands and your card is done.
Gift nr 3:
Lastly, I plan to help my boys make a little coupon book from the Martha Stewart website that provides free printables. I’m sure dad will jump at the opportunity to redeem the coupon which reads, “King for a day” but I guess that’s what Father’s Day is all about and I hope all your dads get to feel like a King this Father’s Day!
