October is Breast Cancer Awareness month

Posted by on October 12, 2012 |

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. – Source: Wikipedia

A few years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, she had to undergo surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. Never throughout this process did she once complain, lose hope or lose her positive outlook on life. She is now a proud survivor and provides counselling and support to many others battling in similar situations.

Although we have not opted to support a charity during this month, we asked lovilee, Liezel from Match Set Love to create something special to create some awareness from our side. These cute triangular favour packets can be filled with something sweet like chocolate truffels, little packets of bath salt, your favourite tea bags etc. True to the cause she used shades of pink and the words; Love, Health & Gratitude. It’s really easy, just download the printable PDF and follow these instructions.
