Tesora Kids Pyjamas are stylish, classic and designed by a real mom for real babes, they are made in Cape Town and are all 100 % cotton. They also make lovilee message pin boards & artboards which can be custom made to suit your child’s colour scheme. Lisa Nash, owner and creative behind the brand shared a bit more with us and agreed to a lovilee giveaway!
Inspiration behind the ranges….
Tesora Kids started in Bath, England, their first product was children’s wall canvasses, embellished with fabrics, glitter paints and pretty shiny buttons and beads. Lisa started doing this when her first little girl turned one and it was not convenient for her to go back to work. She always had a passion for exceptional quality fabric and just couldn’t stop buying beautiful fabrics, so decided to branch out into appliquéd t-shirts for children, embellished with crystal fabric paints.
The range just grew from there and it wasn’t long before she had around 50 products listed. When she returned from England in 2010, she continued her business in Cape Town. She battled to find a pair of good quality pyjamas for her little girls, so decided to make ones instead. In the mean time she had an appointment booked with Kids Emporium and when she presented the entire range to them, Lauren de Swardt, Momtrepreneur behind Kids Emporium, suggested she stick with one item. She asked Lisa to present an entire pyjama range (winter and summer, girls and boys) to her within a month as it just so happened she was looking for pyjamas… so that’s what Lisa did.
The Artboards and Pinboards have always been a passion, she made so many different canvasses with different fabrics, it was easier to hone in on 6 styles; a message pin board for girls, one for boys, one artboard for girls, one for boys and a neutral stone option in each, Lisa does however make custom orders according to required colour schemes.
The beanies and scarves were just an addition to winter as Lisa’s little girls don’t like woollen scarves and she doesn’t like the long tying option around a little girls neck. She found a similar scarf when living in England with a loop through option and changed it to suit her brand and added a matching beanie with 100 % cotton lining.
“My Summer dresses, matching hats and boys sun hats are brand new and will be launching this summer, they are going to be fresh and classic, exactly how my little girls like to dress, very pretty, summery and flowy.” – Lisa
About the styles….
All the styles are classic, she doesn’t follow fashion fads and likes children to look like children, not like mini adults. The pyjamas are designed to stand the test of time, this is the second season with the same styles. Next year she will be changing the winter range slightly, by putting collars and pockets on the simple mandarin neck line that they currently have and changing the fabrics, but they will always be classic styles which will not fade. The summer range has two new fabrics, the classic Missy May and the Little Leah always remain a limited edition fabric but the styles are not changing.

about the author
I am a creative at heart, who likes being surrounded by pretty things. My new house was the main inspiration for Lovilee, finding time to prettify, paint and ponder about change. Coffee, lavender, numbers, the color purple and my jeans inspire me. I believe that you should do what you love and love what you do! -
