About the couple… (As told by Veronique)
Curtis and Chanette met while working together and started off as great friends which soon developed into a beautiful relationship. The minute I met Chanette we could not stop talking, she is one of those people who are just full of life with an unforgettable smile. They were the first couple to have their wedding at IKwa ttu near Yzerfontein on the West coast. The location was beautiful – a boma built on a large rock on a hill overlooking the sea with Table Mountain in the distance. After the ceremony everyone gathered outside for drinks and were then taken up to the Boma in a converted tractor-trailer.
We were lucky to be able to shoot the couple images until sunset and got some amazing light up on the ridge before joining the guests in the Boma for the reception. When we met a few weeks before the wedding Curtis described their wedding as more of a family reunion than a formal wedding. It was a lovely intimate wedding with very close family and friends. The speeches were very touching and emotional as there were many people who had passed and could not be there. However they were not forgotten and there was a table set up covered in photo frames of all the special people who could not join them in body but were certainly there in spirit. A beautiful wedding and a very lovely couple who will have many adventures to come. I recently found out that they are expecting a baby!!

I am a creative at heart, who likes being surrounded by pretty things. My new house was the main inspiration for Lovilee, finding time to prettify, paint and ponder about change. Coffee, lavender, numbers, the color purple and my jeans inspire me. I believe that you should do what you love and love what you do! -
