Tell us more about yourself and your interest in cake decorating
I wish I could bake like some of the bakers that purchase the products we sell. I was always blown away by the artistic beauty of cakes whilst visiting London. Cakes that could WOW the crowd and this is actually how my venture started by importing moulds that will help the professional, the new and the one who wants to WOW the crowds. I also learned that anybody can bake with the correct tools. By bringing these products into the local market, I hope that I can encourage people to bake and that our baking industry will grow and that magazines will use these products to show the readers how easy it is to bake and keep up with international trends.

What products and/or services do you provide?
LOLLODOO sells an array of cake decorating products that includes moulds, cookie cutters, designed acrylic rolling pins, patchwork cutters, cake-pop moulds, paper cake stands and lots more. The molds include -Lace moulds and various other moulds like face, brooch, bow, teddybear etc. They also provide a service to order moulds or any other baking tools which is not so freely available, on specific request for clients.

What makes your products so unique?
Other than being available exclusively from us locally, our products are easy to use and will make a difference to assist bakers to get a new look to there cakes.

What are the current trends in cake decorating?
Vintage is still in. Lots of Lace and soft pastel colours like mint green, soft pink and yellow. Black and white for Wedding cakes are ever popular also decorated with lace. Courtier Cupcakes with Brooches and Bows covered in Lace topping is also still popular on the wedding scene.

Cake decoration is following the trends of Fashion Design so who knows what will happen in 2013 maybe the brighter colours will make a come back. Then there is the children with Novelty cakes. Dessert tables are also becoming more of a hit at weddings.

What advice would you give to cake decorators starting out?
For the new baker I can only say get the correct tools as cake decorating is expensive. With a few moulds and imprint rollers you can bake the WOW cake.
