This & That

Where the wild things are {Love Alda}

“Because we too lived and loved.” This is my answer when people ask me why I love photographs so much – and what a privilege to capture some moments and memories of the beautiful lives all around me. It is also the reason why I love capturing children and the beauty in specific moments.” – By Alda, owner and creative behind Love Alda

This talented lady recently submitted some images that she had taken of her two gorgeous kids. The first images are of her middle child and only daughter, Niamh (pronounced Neave) who reminds her of a little fawn – stubborn and sure-footed, yet beautifully fragile and sweet. This thought, together with some verses from the Bible inspired her to do this shoot.

  • Psalms 42: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.
  • Job 12:7-10: Ask the animals, and they will teach you….Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
  • Psalms 18: He makes me sure-footed as a deer; he keeps me safe on the mountains.

“Winter holds it own beauty… for me it is a time to reflect and be still – a time to become wise. The richness of this quiet season always makes me think of the wise “old” soul in our house – my oldest son. He is our little owl and also the inspiration behind this winter shoot.”

Peace in my heart, peace in my soul – where ever I’m going, I’m already home!
