Styled Valentines’ shoot {Sew in love} – Part 1

From the day that Marinda contacted me about a “Sew in love” themed Valentines’ shoot, my mind sprung into super creative mode! I literally could not wait for the day of the shoot to arrive. And we had a blast! Here with what we were up to…

Part 1 of the shoot was set up as a “high tea for two” setting. I got dressed up in my wedding dress {which definitely shrunk over the past 3 years!}. We had a wonderful ombre cake baked and iced by Marinda and Flowers and a sewing machine from Impala Flora Robindale. The Sewing table is my own that I am planning to re-purpose into a dressing table one of these days, but will keep you posted.

We decorated the table with old sewing patterns and a few pink lace ribbons as a table runner. The shutters and planters are available for hire from the lovilees at Moi Decor and the lace backdrop from Darling & Good. The cake topper was made by Tendai from The Desert Rose Project as well as the Wire, beaded heart hanger. {And they are up for grabs later on in the post!}

As with the Christmas shoot we have a little box of treats up for grabs of items that were used in the shoot:

  • A small heart with buttons created by Me
  • A The Desert Rose Project wire hanger with light pink heart
  • A The Desert Rose Project “love” wire Cake topper
  • Stationary by Purouge
  • A beaded necklace made by me
  • Packet of heart sugars by the Sugar Babes
  • Wire heart with crystal by www.lovilee.co.za
