A friendy of mine that will be getting married soon came to visit recently for us to discuss various décor options that she had in mind for her special day. She introduced me to a good friend of her’s Facebook page who makes the most lovilee paper creations for both the home and weddings. I could literally not believe my eyes when I saw his work and contacted him straight away. So here we find out more on the latest Paper Craze from JC Snooke of Paper J.
About JC
JC is a creative through and through. He started his creative career as a hip-hop dancer in various music videos and voice-over artist for kykNET, Toyota, MK, Graca and many more. As an actor, he has appeared in ‘Getroud met Rugby’, ‘7de Laan’, Rhythm City and in movies such as ‘Liefling’, ‘Molly en Wors’ the Movie and ‘Seun’. He recently made his debut in ‘Villa Rosa’ and can be seen as Jimmy in this series. In addition to this he is also the manager of 3 Afrikaans music groups and finally the owner and creative behind Paper J.
About Paper J
Paper J started at Christmas last year when JC proceeded to make a Christmas tree from paper for a get-together with friends. He had such fun doing this that he decided to attempt making his own protea paper flower. The rest was history. Paper J only uses 2nd hand materials to create, however if the needs be, they custom create anything according to clients specifications. They create Proudly South African, handmade products. These lovilees pride themselves in supporting The SPCA’s 2nd hand bookshops, and giving yesterdays books a 2nd life. The funding of the purchase goes directly to animals in need.
What products are available from Paper J?
Their range includes, but is not limited to Proteas, Dahlias and small rosettes, rose bottles, angel wings. They also make trendy canvas wallets from other recycled materials. All the products are uniquely marked with a clay tag to show the trademark item purchased at Paper J.

What has been your biggest project to date?
I was the art director on a new band “Annica” and everything was made out of paper because the songs name is sprokiesverhaal (Fairytale).
