Today we are thrilled to share the country style wedding of Andrew and Jessica captured by the talented Illuminate Photography at the gorgeous Knorhoek Wine Estate. The wedding was full of fun details and just simply lovilee! Having met during their matric year they became close friends during their varsity days and became inseparable from then on.
When asked about the engagement Jessica wrote: “Andrew surprised me early one Sunday morning – it was a perfect day in October and he called telling me to get ready to go out for breakfast. A trip around Cape Town ensued with stops along the way – breakfast at one of our favourite spots in Kalk Bay, a trip up the cable car and finally a picnic lunch in Kirstenbosch Gardens at our favourite spot overlooking the city. It was here that he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! And of course I said “yes”!!!”
Andrew and Jess decided early during their wedding planning stages on a suitable venue and photographer to suit their personalities, leaving the remainder the wedding planning at around five months. All the stationary for the wedding was designed by the talented bride and groom.
Jessica went on to write:”All the vases, frames for the table numbers, candle holders and additional décor that was used belonged to both our families, some old pieces and others that my mom and I have both been collecting over the years – this made it even more special and was also a big help for the budget.”
