Q+A with Mika from That Little Shop

Mika Stuttaford is the lovilee behind the on-line gem, That Little Shop. The shop trades as an on-line events décor shop offering unique, bulk wedding and event supplies at affordable prices. They aim to be the premier destination for DIY brides, party aficionados, photographers and event planners. Although not even a year young yet, this shop is truly a must-visit when it comes to planning a celebration!

Q: What was the inspiration / idea behind setting up the shop?
My (Mika’s) own wedding. For years used to doing everything on-line, I found it quite frustrating to run around the countryside to find what I was looking for whilst trying to stay within budget. I’ve always been a serial DIYer, loved and done arts + crafts and it was my biggest dream to turn my vacation into a vocation but at the same helping the community, create jobs and make things so much easier for brides, moms, event planners and party fundis to find what they need in one place, conveniently delivered to their door.

Q: What products do you offer?
We specialise in events décor, favours, gifts and a large variety of party supplies that we all sell on-line. We also occasionally do bespoke / customised orders and add these to our product ranges so that other people can find value in that too.

Q: Which are your favourite items / best sellers currently?
Our best sellers include our photo booth sets, chalkboards, wooden creatures, glassware & our hessian items, but generally we see our customers benefit from the wide array of all sorts available on our website. We love our own laser cut ranges and of course support lots of local businesses by reselling locally made crafts & designs.

Q: Where can people buy from you?
Currently we only sell on-line via our website www.thatlittleshop.co.za. We do have an office with store room and (soon) display room holding a limited amount of stock in Milnerton, Western Cape, where one can collect from or view examples of our goods. We can also make up custom items on request.
