Award winning local designer ELLI-NICOLE has just launched her 2015 Ever After wedding gown collection. I was flattered and excited that she asked my to assist with the concept and styling of the shoot. We wanted to bring fairytales to life and showcases two princesses wearing the new collections’ gowns. Elli will in the near future also launch a shoe range and we took images of the samples she had done.
Carike Ridout was there to capture the images and her style complimented the theme in every way. We opted to make use of Morrells Boutique Venue, a venue that lends itself to this kind of shoot. There were so many more hooks and crannies that we could use at the venue, but there was simply not enough time.
Kirsten from Kirled Lash did her magic with the models, and the results – magical! We opted to make use of Lorean Jewellery‘s accessories for the models. They provide gorgeous hand-made jewellery and hair pieces to swoon over.
A friend of mine, Aneesa who makes bespoke cakes for weddings and parties wowed us with the lovilee cake that we used as part of the decor. Elli also brought along a frame and vintage tea set that belonged to her grandmother that we used in parts of the shoot.
I set up the decor that we used and added a few fairy tale elements that included a golden pumpkin, sprayed Consol Glass jars and my first ever bouquets I made.
