Glitter gold candy table styled wedding shoot

Candy tables are becoming more and more popular at weddings. They are created in the place of the more traditional dessert tables or in addition to them. Guests are also sometimes spoilt to candy tables instead of being given favours. I am so excited to finally get to blog this, Glitterazzi themed styled wedding shoot that we did at the end of 2013 at the Irene Dairy Farm in Pretoria. So many lovilees came on board and together we made some lovilee happen!

The idea was to set up the table in one of the gravel roads on the property, but there was soooo much rain that week that it ended up being a total mud bath! We did the best we could with the set up but ended up looking like little mud monkeys ourselves. Johannesburg based photographer Melanie Wessels (who also took my wedding images) worked her magic to make the images look gorgeous as always. She was assisted by photographer Carike Ridout. Inge from The Cake Cartel supplied the treats and cake, which was not only pretty to look at but crazy delicious.

How adorable are the glitter cherries that Carla from Moi Decor Hire made and combined with their miniature trophies and vintage books? Perfect to add a little detail to any table. Natalie Field from Pace Model Management was our model on the day and Sarah from Swoon Makeup was responsible for her hair and make-up. I could not believe the make-up that I saw. There were three completely different looks, all with glitter, glitter and glitter and totally FAB!

For the first look we chose a short dress by PE bridesmaid dress designers, Hoiden, with touches of Lace to the top, combined with ankle boots {perfect for the mud!}. Natalie’s lips had a touch of glitter and we used my old wedding veil with my grandmothers’ brooch as a trimming. The bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, the handy work of Vividly Vintage.

The following image has to be my favourite image of the day!

And this ‘fabulous poster’ was specially created for the shoot Liezel from Match Set Love.
