The Ruby Orchard is a lovilee store, Nestled in a corner of Howick in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The store has a natural, homely and refreshing feel and houses a beautiful range of rustic and stylish décor, furniture and fun gifts made locally and sourced internationally. We are so excited to be part of their on-line store launch today and to celebrate these lovilees are spoiling one lovilee reader with a shopping voucher to spend in their on-line store worth R300!
The launch of the on-line store has arisen from a demand for the products made exclusively for and by The Ruby Orchard. Reclaimed picture frames, laser cut coasters and hand carved wooden families will now be available to purchase on-line! They are starting out with a small range of our products, but this will grow!
With two full time carpenters on site The Ruby Orchard strive to excite and inspire shoppers with a stunning range of bespoke and made to order mirrors, picture frames and refurbished furniture. Found in scrap yards, auctions and second hand shops, they transform unwanted and thrown away items into one off pieces for your home. Passionate about preserving the past they use reclaimed timber and pair it with modern steel bases to create contemporary yet rustic furniture you will not see anywhere else.
More than just a store, The Ruby Orchard team ran a series of workshops for Creative business owners in 2014 to demonstrate and teach creatives how to approach shops, create product catalogues, price products for wholesale and sell to retail outlets successfully. A stop at Ruby Orchard is always on my list for a weekend in the midlands. Discovered this gorgeous little shop while we were putting tyres on our car across the road – my husband couldn’t get me out. This shop has the most amazing things. As I am expecting a little one – I would make my voucher count on the kid’s toys corner. 🙂
