Today I get to share a Lovilee DVD shop + Laundromat Love Shoot by Domenique and Eben from Maiden Moose Photography. The couple, Mischa and Jonathan, wanted the shoot to be both natural and unique. The aesthetic of the laundromat lended itself as the perfect backdrop and it was easy for the photographers to create some magic over there. The DVD Store was Domenique’s idea – and the couple, being great lovers of film (Jonathan proposed after a trip to the Labia Cinema!), loved it!
We both felt really comfortable with the photographers, and as a result our personalities really came through in each of the pictures. They were on board with all our ideas, and we were able to really have fun with it.
The love story
Jonathan and I are both obsessed with music, so naturally a close friendship grew after we met through friends in 2012.
We’re getting married on the 1st of October. There’s quite a bit of DIY involved in what we’re planning and I think we’re excited to pull off an event that really reflects something of our individuality. I think more than anything, we’re looking really forward to the adventures that await us as we commit to spending the rest of our lives together.
What inspires you?
Mischa: Good books, good music, quirky art, tasty food & interesting spaces.
Jonathan: COFFEE. Gourmet burgers, innovative new music, innovative old music, craft beer, interesting design and Mischa, of course.
