Bella Trien’s Fig surprise Quiche {Lovilee recipe}

We recently did our styled Christmas shoot in Richardsbay and was privileged to be able to make use of one of the most lovilee houses I have been in to date. The house of Isabella van Schalwyk or ‘Bella Trien‘ as she is also known. As an artist she is constantly up to something, creating and prettifying. She spoilt us with a quiche lunch on the day, one of the quiches was a fig surprise one, and I must admit, I had three servings. This quiche is beyond yummy!

Isabella allowed us to share this lovilee recipe with you and suggests that it be served with a green salad and paired with a glass of Sauvignon blanc or Blanc fumé.

  4. Press out the mixture into a pastry pan, until all the sides and base are covered and place in the fridge.
  5. Drizzle the veggies with olive oil and brown them in the oven.
  6. Cool the veggies down and arrange them, together with the other filling ingredients on the crust.
  7. Mix all the ingredients for the Eggcream together and pour over the veggies.
