THE REFINERY is one of the newer members at lovilee and we wanted to share a bit of what these ladies are about. I spent a few minutes with Anna Pepper, so here with what she told me…
At THE REFINERY we aim to give you the best possible service at the best possible price. Having experience of over 14 years we have the knowledge and know how to make you look your absolute best – both on photographs and in person. I have worked for a world renowned makeup company for many years and built up extensive knowledge and experience in the field. working with many local celebrities as well as working on many different fashion shows and magazine publications.
I believe in only booking ONE wedding per day as I can then offer you the best quality of workmanship on your special day in a relaxed atmosphere. Only professional products are used at all times. eg. M.A.C, Inglot and Smashbox. In addition, I also offer one on one or group make-up workshops.
Why the name: THE REFINERY?
I thought of “The Refinery” because of the fact the we are “refining” your look. Redefining your look is what we are about.
Why did you become a make-up artist?
The reason I became a make-up artist in the first place was because I love creating and especially painting – I find that applying make-up is just an extension of my art on a different canvas each time and the best feeling is when you see the excited expression on your client’s face when they see how beautiful they can also be.
I have a three year qualification in art direction (make-up and special effects ) and production design. Also a participant in the Top Vendor Wedding Awards for best make-up artist as well as part of The Wedding Friends and Mooi Troues teams.
