Hoiden is a one-of-a-kind ladies-wear fashion label situated in the heart of Port Elizabeth. Owners, Marjorie Erasmus and Esté Chambers, along with their team, only recently started focusing on bridesmaid dresses but the label was established back in 2012 when they were invited to showcase their designs at SA Fashionweek as top emerging designers. The label still consists of ladies casual wear which is supplied to boutiques country-wide, but their brand new bridesmaids section is clearly growing by the hour.
What is the inspiration behind the new collection and colours used?
This collection was based on the latest trends we saw in bridesmaids dresses this season, such as the pastel colours. We wanted to give brides a guideline of how they can style their bridesmaids, which would make them look beautiful, and stylish but also comfortable and relaxed. If the bridesmaids are relaxed then the Bride will most likely follow suit on her big day. Also, it really is a dress that they can wear again to a future event which your friends would love. Our aim is to give your bridesmaids a gorgeous outfit while standing by your side on your special day, because all your favourite memories involve them, why not make this a stylish one.
Can the colours or dresses be customised to the weddings’ colours?
Yes! The colours and even the designs can easily be altered to your own preferences.

We have a standard measuring chart for bridesmaids out-of-town, providing them with a step-by-step instruction guide on how to measure themselves. With their correct measurements, we can easily sew up their dress that’ll fit them to perfection.
How long do the dresses take to make?
We would suggest contacting us at least a month before your wedding BUT we do unfortunately have limited space available per month so please chat to us well in advance to not be disappointed.
