Olives & Plates {WAM}

Chene from Silversuitcase Lifestyle visited Olives & Plates at the Wits Art Museum (WAM). She shared some lovilee images with us.

It turns out WITS isn’t only for studying, it also showcase awesome artwork, and provide a modern cafe atmosphere canteen/coffee shop smack bam in the middle of Braamfontein. Except for myself + Romy driving around the block almost a dozen times just to find a parking spot the rest of the afternoon was superb. Stepping into this modern, white, calm space you feel a million miles from the craziness outside. A large class wall separate the cars, hooters, traffic rushing by and people yelling from your lunch.

I got lost in the funky artwork on display and listened to the three musicians at the table next to us dreaming up their new song. Sheet music everywhere, guitars under the table and three cappuccinos to finish of the look. I missed my study years, me and fellow class mates also worked on songs in coffee shops while studying Jazz at Pretoria Technikon.

Please don’t make me write about the chocolate mud pie thingy, I feel guilty just looking at the photo again.
