Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair 2014

The month of November will see the return of the popular Handmade Contemporary Fair (previously FoodWineDesign Fair), celebrating its fifth year. The Fair will once again take place from 7-9 November 2014, on the rooftop of Hyde Park Corner, an ideal venue which offers the perfect combination of urban chic, convenience and gorgeous city views.

Sanlam Investments (FoodWineDesign) Fair 2014

The Fair is the first event to combine food, wine and design – all lifestyle areas that converge on high quality production and craftsmanship. Each producer is hand-picked and the number of participants is limited to focus on the best and most unique. Three of SA’s top chefs, David Higgs of the Saxon Boutique Hotel, Michael Holenstein from De Hoek Country House, and Thom Hughes of the Griffin, Perron and Steamworks, will be taking turns to treat visitors to their signature dishes.

Some of my favourite design exhibitors that will be in attendance include – Ceramic Factory, Dear Rae Jewellery, Elephant Shoe, Missibaba and The Wren Design. There will also be plenty of good food and drinks that include coffee roasteries and wine farms.

As sponsors of the Fair, Sanlam Investment’s approach to investing and creating future wealthsmiths is to identify businesses with great potential, no matter what their size, and support their growth over the long term which is why the Fair has always been such a natural fit for the business. Carl Roothman, Chief Executive of Sanlam’s Investment Retail Business says: “As local and well-made are integral parts of the Fair, and much like the exhibitors are experts in their chosen field, Sanlam is the expert in investments and understands the importance of being able to offer a superior product.”
