It’s a classic favourite, it’s thoughtful and shows that you care, they are really simple to make* and they’re absolutely delicious to boot!

A Christmas cookie jar printable + Christmas biscuits recipe

I’m including one of my all-time favourite Christmas biscuits recipe but feel free to change the contents of your jars or tins up, depending on the person you’ll be giving it to. The label isn’t specific to a certain treat, so go ahead and fill the jars with fudge, mixed biscuits, dried fruit or any delicious treat you know your person will love.

You will need the following to create your Christmas cookie jar

  • Glass Preserve Jar (also called a mason jar) OR
  • A biscuit tin which you can decorate with spray paint and patterns before adding the printable label
  • Decorations of your choice to decorate your container (I used a simple ribbon, but feel free to be as creative as you want to)
  • Label of your choice printed out on A4 card stock (there are two options to choose from)
  • A pair of scissors
  • Glue gun

How to put the Christmas cookie jar together?

  1. Cut the Christmas calories don’t count printed label out using your scissors. I suggest using the 120 x 120mm label for jars, and the 165 x 165mm label for tins.
  2. Decorate your glass jar or tin and add the label using a glue gun.
  3. Fill with treats of your choice. Chocolate Gingerbread Biscuit recipe below.

*If you like your Gingerbread on the soft side, bake them a little less than the recipe states as the longer they bake, the harder they will become.
