Welcome to the Fabulous FOX month on lovilee, this fox birthday party submission by Hello Love Photography was a perfect fit. Mommy, Carol-Anne Frey is the owner and creative behind a little company called Fox Tales. This company started off as a wedding planning and floral art company but now specialises in baby nursery decorating and styling, kids room decorating and styling, play room decorating and styling, baby shower styling, kids birthday and party styling. There is also an on-line store that has some cute invitation sets as well as flash cards, perfect as gifts for little people.
The inspiration behind the Fox birthday party theme
I am always keen to theme my parties around natural concepts and boho speaks loud to me! I like that it can be eclectic. Even though we have a little girl we didn’t want a typical pink party. We settled on powdery pastels and we decided early on we wanted to buy a teepee for her first birthday gift from My Tiny Teepee.
Everything then just fell into place. We were concerned about it being in August and the weather can really go two ways in August – it can still be cold and windy or very warm. We went to Gabriella’s Tea Room for Mothers Day and just knew it was the right place. It really brings the outdoors indoors and had all the elements we love without being too theme specific. It allowed us to create our own magic.
As cliche as it may sound, there had to be a Fox design in the party because my daughters’ name is Finley Fox – I used a similar fox for her baby shower and thought it would be great to pull it through to her first birthday too! It was fitting to theme it “Wild One” as it pulls together the natural elements, like the forests together with wild animals like the fox and the bear and of course her fiesty little nature!
Fox party invitation, stationary and party decor
I am by trade a party planner, floral designer, graphic designer so all the creative elements were designed by me (the concept, the stationery and the florals). I also created the little teepee party packs and although a challenge they were the most fun to make! The cake was made by All Things Nice and the cookies by The Frosted Cat.
We also made use of some gorgeous macrame elements purchased from Artesense.
We also decided to plant a fig tree as family that will grow as our little girl grows up.
