My guest room revamp with Prominent Paints

I am a total revamp addict and loooove making use of paint to revamp a room. Paint makes such a big difference and is relatively inexpensive if you are able to do the painting yourself. Prominent Paints asked me to be part of their #makespringbetter campaign and after my trip to Europe I was totally inspired! I previously teamed up with them for my patio make-over and have subseqently painted our whole houses’ exterior with their paint.

All of the inspiration started with friendy Liezel from Match Set Love‘s room make-over of her daughter. I had to replicate the feel of the room and bring something totally fresh to our guest room. I wanted to showcase my Heather Moore bedding from Mr Price Home in the perfect setting and offcourse create a welcome space for guests when they come to visit.

Before & after bedroom revamp

I loved the green wall and am still totally in love with the shade of green that the wall behind the bed was before but never ended up fing the perfect match of bedding for it.

Paint used for this revamp

I made use of the Prominent Paints Satin Silk product for the room. It is an easily washable paint that can be used both indoors and has a life expectancy of around 12 years. The paint can be mixed in either a 1 liter, 5 liter or 20 liter. One liter will give you 6-10 square metres of coverage.

Bedlamps are from IKEA and the grey curtains from @home. Pom pom pillow covers are by Sixth Floor via Superbalist and the scatter on the bed is from Woolworths.

I purchased some lovilee posters at the past weekends’ Sanlam HMC from Elsje Designs that are now also part of the decor in the room. The wooden camera is from La Fede.

All that is left to so in this room is stripping out the carpets as there is some stunning parquet flooring underneath the carpets and re-painting of the ball and claw furniture to white that I’d like to do once the floor is done.
