I have had this Spring engagement photos of couple, Judith and Johan, in my back pocket for a while as I really wanted to kick off our pretty petals month with it. The images by Leandrie du Plessis Photography is totally gorgeous.
The floral patterned skirt and floral crown wreath simply added a special extra something to this engagement shoot. I think it is the bright and pretty colours against the neutral backdrop of the old mine dump that makes this shoot extra pretty.
The inspiration behind the spring engagement photos
‘On a beautiful spring day, my best friend introduced me to Johan. We spent the entire day in the garden, enjoying each other’s company, not realising that this will be the beginning of a cherished friendship which later became our life story.
The story of the day we met, inspired me to do a photo shoot complementing the beauty of nature without it being obvious or somewhat over the top. Being in Johannesburg, made finding a spot to do a nature shoot not very easy. Leandrie du Plessis found a serendipitous spot at an old mine heap in the industrial part of Germiston that resembled dunes by the sea. We fell in love with the spot.
I dressed in pastel colours and had a flower crown made to complement my long flower printed skirt.
My fiancé (at that time) and I had the most fun ever and just love our spring engagement photos. With Leandrie’s professionalism, guidance and skill we had the best experience.‘
