Something that I look forward to with anticipation every year is the Black Friday Sale – and more specifically the Superbalist.com Black Friday Sale. To make the most of this day this year I share some of my tips and tricks below so that you do not miss out on the showdown!
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday originated in the United States and takes place on the Friday following Thanksgiving Day, with many of the physical stores offer huge sales on this day, opening very early to accommodate eager customers. The timing of the day is the perfect opportunity to do some Christmas shopping or even prepare for the year ahead.
Takealot.com first brought the Black Friday Sale to South Africa by offering amazing deals since 2012 online. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the Black Friday sales have now moved from visiting physical stores to online with one of my favorite ones being the Superbalist.com Black Friday Showdown every year.
Why Superbalist.com is one of my favorite places to shop (all year round!)?
I am obsessed with the Superbalist app and it is probably (after Instagram) one of my most used apps om my phone. They offer everything from on-trend Home Decor to Furniture, to Kids and Adult fashion, Beauty and Accessories from over 450 of the top international and local brands
When is Black Friday 2021?
Black Friday in South Africa (and around the globe) will be on Friday, 26 November, 2021. The Superbalist Black Friday deals will run from 24-29 November 2021.
5 Tips to Get the Best Black Friday Deals on Superbalist
- Plan Ahead
I like to make my Christmas, Birthday and other event wish lists beforehand so that I am prepared well in advance and make sure that I cover all my bases when I plan my shopping list. You can literally give the most beautiful gifts for less when shopping this annual sale.
- Download the Superbalist App
In this way you will be prepared and already familiar with the sections and navigation of the various categories. You can also enable push notifications to make sure that you do not miss out on any of their amazing promos, now, or on Black Friday. I have my payment and delivery preferences saved on the app making check-out a breeze.
- Create a wish list
This is easy and can be done via the Superbalist website or app, simply navigate to the product that you would like to add to your wish list, for clothing you can even select your size by just clicking on the heart icon. When Black Friday Sale arrives you will just be able to add these items straight to your cart!
- Set a reminder
If you are anything like me there is no way of counting on my memory to remember Black Friday. So I set not one but even more reminders to make sure that you get online first to ensure that you get into the que first! Shop from the comfort of your home, yup even in your PJ’s. (If you follow Superbalist on social and set your alerts you can also stay up to date with the deals)
- Set a budget
There is nothing worse than buyers regret, avoid it by following the steps above and setting up a budget for the Black Friday Sale (Remember if you spend R450 or more and you will get FREE and FAST delivery). Superbalist offers 9 safe and secure ways to pay that include debit and credit card payments as well as a PayFlex option that allows you to make 4 x 25%, interest free payment options over 6 weeks that can help if you need to spend on higher priced items.
I already started a wish list of my own, here with some items I have on mine and hoping they will be on sale!
