About the shoot {by Alda…}
I had the privilege to photograph two little gnomes in the woods as they gathered some berries, chatted to birds and played in the glowing light at dusk.
For me, photographing children is as magical as catching fireflies. Every child is exceptional and lights up from within. Parents want to nurture and share the true beauty and glow that comes with their children’s happiness. My job as photographer is to capture a fragment of the light that reflects from the exceptional qualities children bring to this world so that parents can treasure it forever.
Carina Koch’s little Annabelle (almost 2) and Mareli Smit’s three-year-old son, Louis (both featured below) once again reminded me how fun it is to chat to birds, gather berries and… catch fireflies whilst they play!
