When and how did ArtEsense start?
I have always loved beautiful things, especially handmade things! When you buy something that is made by hand you buy not only an item, but a piece of someone’s heart. Sometime last year I made the decision to start an on-line shop, because I wanted to showcase beautiful handmade things, and make them available to people anytime, anywhere!

What products and/or services do you provide?
We love anything handmade! At the moment our range includes silver, crochet and beaded jewellery, lovely baby and children’s clothes and shoes and unique handmade toys. We also have stunning block mounted photographs, printed art by Terry Angelos, vintage lampshades and even small shabby chic furniture items. Coming very soon is a new range of cushions and wall art, which we are very excited about.

We go out of our way to support companies who work with the disadvantaged and those living in difficult circumstances, so some of our suppliers run or support social upliftment projects, which create an income from selling the beautiful items they make.

Which are your favourite / best selling products at the moment?
Our various jewellery ranges are currently our best sellers, but our children and baby items are firm favourites as well!

How do you choose products / suppliers for the store?
We carefully curate our own range of products. Quality is really important, but items made by hand are usually made with lots of heart and soul, and that usually shows in the quality! Some of our products have been sourced from local craft markets and some have found us! We like to know our suppliers, so many of them are local or well-known, but we are happy to sell anything, as long as it is beautifully handmade!
