DIY body scrub recipe

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup white granulated sugar
  2. ½ cup raw sugar
  3. up to ¼ cup coconut oil melted (or almond oil) as needed
  4. 1 tablespoon dried Lavender
  5. 3-4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Directions

  1. Mix the granulated and raw sugar together in a mixing bowl.
  2. While stirring, slowly add the melted coconut oil until it has a soft, fluffy consistency – I used a little less than a ¼ cup as I prefer my scrubs to be less oily.
  3. Lastly, add the dried Lavender and Lavender Essential Oil. Stir and mix thoroughly and store in an airtight container.

Directions for label

  1. Once you’ve placed the sugar scrub into your mason jar, the real fun begins.
  2. Download the .pdf file and print it on white paper. I’ve included three colour options so that you can pick your favourite, as well as two size options just in case.
  3. If you really get stuck, spray paint the lid of the mason jar in the colour of your choice, and use the label that fits the best.
  4. Tie the ribbon around the top of your mason jar. Make a double knot, tie the spoon to the jar and make a bow.
  5. Using a cutting knife or scissors, cut out the round & ribbon label. Make a fold on the ribbon label just above the wording.
  6. Put small amounts of glue on opposite ends of the label and paste in onto the side of the jar, overlapping on the lid.
  7. Ad glue to the back of the round label and paste it on top of the lid and TA-DA! You have a perfect gift for the most special woman in your life.
