Celebrating lovilee women

We celebrate National Women’s Day in South Africa, celebrating a group of woman who stood up for their right and what they believed in. This public holiday is held in high esteem and is a reminder of the important contributions women make to society. We face such a lot of challenges as women in our daily lives. Be it at work, as a mom, a partner or any of the other roles we are expected to fulfill or find ourselves in. We sometimes neglect ourselves and forget that we are special and matter to those around us.

For mother’s day this year I decided to spoil my mom with something totally different. She is someone who values an ‘experience’ more than a present, she loves going out for breakfast or coffee or just spending quality time with someone. When I heard of the ‘You are Beautiful’ session by Colette-Marie Photography together with Kirtsen from Kirled Lash Make-up artistry I was sold! I signed us up, and… am I glad I did… I think that each and every one of us should have a gorgeous pic of ourselves to make us feel truly LOVILEE!

The sessions are more than just getting your make-up and hair done. It was getting spoilt and being reminded how special we are as individuals. From the consultation with Colette beforehand to the actual make-up and hair by Kirled Lash to learning how to look good on photos. We had a blast! Here with some more of what we were up to…

Our before photos can be used for blackmail, we both had real mommy days! But, thought I’d still add them to show what magic fingers these ladies have!
