Coming up with a theme or even colors for my own grown-up birthday I find a challenge. It is so easy planning party for my kids and I tend to have a clear idea of what I would like to do every time. All great parties start with a Pinterest Party Inspiration board. I created a grown up party board a few years ago and just build on it.
Start each day like it’s your birthday
The party inspo actually started by discovering this Ginger Ray Mix It Up YAY Pink Ombre Donut Wall whilst browsing The Party Lady for goodies for the princess’ upcoming party. I was actually not planning to celebrate my own birthday, but when I saw this doughnut wall I knew it was a party on it’s own, basically all the decor I needed in one go. I ordered some glazed doughnuts from a local Linden bakery and they were delicious and pretty!
I purchased a 2m x 3m white gazebo from Leroy Merlin at a R425 steal a while ago for my Tiny Dollhouse stall at The Linden Market (I will be at the 27 and 28 November 2021 exhibit) and knew it was the perfect party item. My garden was green so a garden party it was! Dominique from Hello Love Photography was there to capture the decor for me and Yolandi from A Zesty Life assisted me with the set up!
The flowers are from Wildly Sown, and can you believe… EVERYTHING out of Lisa’s garden!!! I used it on the coffee station, under my faux green wall art. I even added some Cricut Maker Magic with these tiny gold crowns and the doughnut cookies (Fox Party Iced Rings) are from Dischem.
All the stationery used are free donut party printables by Tiny Me.
It was a magical morning, a no fuss set up spent with some of my closest friends.
