This past weekend Kamersvol Johannesburg 2018 took place and photographer Tracey Kelsey kindly agreed to cover the event on my behalf as I was in Cape Town attending Decorex. It was the first time that this event took place at St David’s Marist Inanda in the heart of Sandton and it seemed like the new venue was a hit!
Many visitors called this event their favourite to date (I am so jealous) with first three days sawing a record-breaking 8000 visitors exploring the colourful wonder world of creativity! Their mission is to showcase the best of SA’s handcrafted creativity and this time the show boasted over 170 Makers with more than 40 of them beng first time Makers in Jo’burg. And it included Miss Milly!
Their next events are set to take place in
- Bloemfontein from 26 – 30 September 2018 at Monte Bello Estate.
- Stellenbosch from 30 October – 4 November 2018.
- Irene, Pretoria from 4 – 9 December 2018*
*These dates may change as venues are confirmed
If you cannot wait to till the next event, why not shop the KAMERS/MAKERS on-line store?
The first new discovery was Purely Porcelain. Their diffuser sticks were a hit, with the cutest ceramic flowers at the ends. They also had a lovilee range of jewellery.
And off-course there was Present Space – a store that represent a range of designers – beautiful gifting, stationery, fashion and home accessories. They have a great range of goodies. One of the favourite products are the glass photo displays that tracey also purchased and Sugar & Vice whom has a give-away live on our blog!
