One of our resolutions this year is to get fit and to eat healthy, and although we’ve been hitting the gym almost religiously, eating healthy has really fallen to the wayside. After a long day, it’s just way too easy to fall on the couch and snack on whatever was in the pantry. So let’s get organised.
I have found that having a meal planner template really makes it a lot easier to stick to a healthy eating plan. Eating well has also lead to us exploring new healthy meal options so I’ve found recipe cards really useful in keeping everything organised.
With all the planning and organisation going around at the beginning of the year, we have come up with a simple and free meal planner printable as well as a recipe card printable to make healthy eating easier for you too. The weekly planner includes a shopping list as well as a space to write snack ideas, which will make shopping for your cooking more effective as well!

Tip: Laminate this meal plan so that you can reuse it and add magnet strips to the back to stick it on your fridge so it is always close by.
You will need for the meal planner
- Art knife
- Cutting board
- Steel ruler
To make and use
- Simply print out on the paper stock of your choice. These are A4, so you can easily print them at home. We made use of some brown kraft paper.
Free Recipe Cards
- Print back to front on thick card stock. Using the guides in the corners to line up your ruler & cut with an art-knife.
- Alternatively, you can line up your ruler, make a fine line with a pencil & cut using a pair of hand scissors.
