If you are looking for unique kids party ideas look no further – this purple Elephant birthday party is inspiration filled. When Liezel from Match Set Love‘s daughter turned four there was first talk of a mermaid birthday party, then an elephant party, then an elephant mermaid party, but finally it was agreed upon a purple elephant party. And what a lovilee party it ended up to be. Who would have ever though that the colours purple and gold could compliment each other in such a way! Liezel did a brilliant job with both the party planning and execution. This party has also been included in my round-up of best girl party themes!
There were plenty kids party activities for the little ones to do, from painting their own canvasses with their names on to paper beading to a cute tin bowling game. This DIY game was made similarly to our DIY advent calendar, see the link with the step-by-step instructions here.
Johannesburg based lifestyle photographer, Carike Ridout was there as the Birthday photographer and Liezel agreed that we share some of the images with you. Liezel made sure that the kids party decorations and details did not disappoint. Her little one wore a cute rosette badge with the number ‘4’ on. Painted paper doilies adorned the activity bags and there were mini hand-folded origami elephants as part of the decor (See how to make a paper elephant tutorial). Cupcake toppers with a cute image of the birthday girl adorned the cupcakes. There were four little friends to celebrate this number ‘four’ milestone.
