Venue History
The lodge literally began as a boma surrounded by bamboo rods. Step-by-step more building were added including a big function hall. Six years ago the first wedding inquiry, and the rest was history. We then added a chapel, chalets, a honeymoon and bridal suite.

All the buildings are named after indigenous tress, such as Baobab Chapel, Sweet-thorn Honeymoon suite, Sausage Tree (Men’s bathroom) etc. Photographer, Charl van der Merwe is the manager of the venue which is owned by his mother, who was also responsible for all the architectural design and décor of the venue.
