A Pastel Easter Party {Nestling}

We received this pastel Easter party submission from Laura Thomas owner of Work of Heart. The images were taken by the same lovilees whose Easter Styled shoot we recently featured, >Nestling photography. Laura discovered her passion for all things pretty whilst decorating her daughter’s nursery. This continued into planning parties to celebrate the special milestones in her life. Inspired to share her love for creating beautiful spaces & stylish celebrations, Work of Heart was born. We chatted to Laura about this lovilee party and her business venture.

 

 
What was the party for?

This year is my daughter Evie’s very first Easter, unfortunately her grandparents are going to be away over the Easter weekend. Not wanting to miss out on seeing the little ones searching for Easter eggs & sweet chocolate-covered faces, they suggested we celebrate a little earlier. I love parties, chocolate & bunnies, so this was the perfect excuse to host an afternoon tea & Easter egg hunt for a few of our special family & friends.

 

 
What was your inspiration?

My inspiration stems from my wish to create an enchanting childhood & magical memories for Evie. Imagining pretty speckled duck eggs & white fluffy bunnies with little pink ears, I chose a soft pastel palette. My aim was to create a sophisticated & stylish party with a touch of whimsical playfulness.

 
Most of the décor items were my own – did I mention I have a thing for bunnies? {great creatives think alike! #followthebunny}
 
I so enjoyed the build up to the party (creating bunny bunting, icing beautiful biscuits & cute cupcakes, gluing fuzzy bunny tails onto gift bags…) & the day itself was even better (childlike joy & wonder, letters to the Easter bunny, excited little squeals & tummies full of treats…)
 
And one of the best parts – how all the little details were so beautifully captured by the incredibly talented girls of Nestling Photography.

Catering to a niche clientèle, Work of Heart offers smaller scale, custom-designed events including bridal & baby showers, christenings & naming ceremonies, children’s parties, & all other special celebrations in between.
