To celebrate the launch of a new range of Tetley Green Teas in THREE irresistible flavours I am giving one lucky lovilee the chance to walk away with a really, really amazing curated hamper from Tetley tea that includes a Le Creuset whistling kettle! But more about that lower down.

The lovilees over at Tetley Tea sent me a hamper with all things lemon. A yellow Le Creuset whistling kettle, marmalade, lemon sweet and more. The tea is delicious, I have a cuppa now every eve before bedtime – Loving it.

Who is Tetley Tea?

Tetley Tea is known as the brand with the biggest teabag in South Africa. Their teabags are 10% bigger than regular 2.5g teabags which means that you get more magical flavour with each cup! Need some flavour in your life? They just introduced the new range of Tetley Green teas in a juicy apple, refreshing mint and a zesty lemon flavour! The teas are available in a box of 20 teabags in retail stores nationwide from 1 June 2018 in a brand new crisp packaging.

What is Green Tea?

Green tea is a tea made from unfermented leaves that is pale in colour and it is a tea that is slightly bitter in flavour. Green Tea is often reffered to as the healthiest tea on the planet. Some of the health claims are based on ancient Eastern Traditions, wehere green tea was used to treat symptoms of disease for years. There are many health benefits associated with drinking Green tea but most of the general studies have shown benefits with 2 to 3 cups per day. These teas are filled with anti-oxidants and are simply put – good for you!

Is this Tetley Green Tea just for drinking?!

The answer is NO! Get creative and use these teas in recipes, to get you started I am sharing one below, but there are plenty more to find on their website too. My favourite on their site is the Tetley Green Tea Vinaigrette that is sure to add a zing to any summer salad.

MY SECRET GO TO PARTY RECIPE

If you feel tempted to try something different with your tea, my go to recipe for parties is as follows to add 3 teabags of Lemon Tetley Green tea to a litre of boiling water (and if you wn you could use your Le Creuset stove top kettle for this part). Cool it down overnight. Add a litre of Berry or Apple juice (a clear fruit juice) to the mixture as well as some mint leaves. And you have an iced tea that will impress even the most discerning guest!

If you have the winter sniffs you can also make use of the lemon flavoured Tetley Green Tea and add some fresh ginger and honey. It always makes me feel loads better.

    Oh my goodness! How I want this. I am an absolute lover of tea especially green tea. To many it is an acquired taste but I loved it since day one! I am honestly a tea tanker and I would so love to try out the mint! I kinda know the taste of zesty lemon because I add dash of lemon to mine. Please send me that gorgeous kettle too ;)

    i live on green tea, 3 cups in the morning , at afternoon and at night.. i have it with my meals and i simply love love love green tea.. i do sometimes already add lemon to my green tea.. its yum.. but i would love to give the Mint and Apple a go.. something different for a change… #WinWithTetleyGreenTea

    I’m going to be honest, I struggle to drink my share of green tea even though l know it’s good for me. I haven’t tried Tetley Tea before – maybe this is the brand that will win me over! If l had the option, l’d kill two birds with one stone and choose the juicy apple flavour.
