Winter 2017 is all about a plush new palette and once again Weylandts is setting the trend with their new ranges. The palette is all greys, perfect for this month’s theme ‘grey is the new black’ with gold accents sneaking their way into the mix.
In a previous article I touched on the details of this companies’ roots, but I was once again touched by how far owner, Chris Weylandt, goes to bring quality, curated and unique products to us locally. Many of the products on offer are made from reclaimed wood, reclaimed metals, leathers and other raw handcrafted materials. It is a brand that embraces sustainability without compromising on design or quality.
On trend this winter
Grey, grey, grey and grey. It is thrilling to see my favourite colour come to life in different designs, paints and rooms this winter. A lot of people consider the colour grey a cold colour, but the darker tones like charcoal definitely brings a sense of warmth to a cold season.
Bean bags and poufs are making a comeback, combine them with natural textures and tones and you have a winning combination. Leather, whether in a raw hide form as carpet or a more refined form used for upholstery is not only durable but also very popular this winter.
Charcoals, blacks paired gold accents for throws or scatters can create a dream sanctuary to be proud of, and this new ebony stained oak 4 poster spati bed with its clean lines simply completes the look. A new launch by Weylandts for Weylandts.
Marbles, ceramics and natural woods are turning heads in the kitchen and around dinner tables with 100% linen tea towels to compliment. I am totally in love with their handmade and hand painted ceramics as well as the hand crafted wooden spoons, bowls and even chop-sticks.
Pendant lighting, whether made from wire, clear glass, mesh or wicker, paired with a lovilee filament globe will have heads turning.
Who said storage only has to be functional? Weylandts has a range of pretty baskets in store that can be used as toy storage, laundry options or even in a lounge an living room area. I found this gorgeous wire basket available in two sizes and immediately fell in love.
The company added a few new products this season that includes functional modular sofas and also a range referred to as the ‘Spati’ range. A range that epitomizes clean lines made from a lighter coloured American Oak. It is the perfect range for someone looking to furnish a home from start to finish with an almost ‘loft living’ like feel. The range include beds, dining room tables, mirrors, wardrobes, pedestals and more.
