Two gems that I discovered at a recent visit to the centre include, both shops that I believe you have to visit yourself. You need to see tiles in real life before you make a purchase and as for a bed, the only way to choose the best one is to actually lie on it yourself!
Remake – Tile Gallery & Lifestyle Studio
I first discovered Remake a year or so ago when I did an article on Decobella tiles, they are one of the stockists in Johannesburg and I wanted to see the tiles for myself. They have a stunning range of tiles and even quartz surfaces to choose from for a renovation project and have friendly, knowledgeable staff to assist.
In addition to tiling products they also stock some bathroom accessories that include Grohe taps and beautiful decorative items to make your dream renovation a reality such as baskets and planters. I even found some wooden panel cladding tiles that make your knees weak!

The Dial-A-Bed store at The Colony was recently revamped to almost doubling its orginal size. The store is light and bright and filled with plenty of beds and mattresses to suit any and all preferences. Dial-A-Bed offers an array of furnishings for the bedroom including upholstered and wooden headboards as well as a range of pedestals. If you are in need of any kind of mattress or pillow protectors (Must-haves) this is also the place to find them.
