Marinell Photography, wedding and lifestyle photographer from Pretoria, captured a beautiful Mosselbay beach E-session. The couple, Theunis and Jolande, will be tying the knot in Mauritius in September next year. Theunis is the photographer Marinell’s brother, which made this e-session even more special. The ocean theme for the e-shoot fitted well with the island wedding theme.
The couple met whilst attending the same high school. Theunis said it was love at first sight, but Jolande did not get the hints at first. After a while they found friendship and love in each other. They’ve been together for 10 years on the 26 September 2015 and will engaged for exactly one year when they tie the knot.
The ‘Adventurous’ proposal
This is truly the best one ever. I love The Amazing Race so Theunis decided to organize me my own one called: “The De Bruin Challenge”. I did not expect anything as he is very romantic. I received a range of clues with tasks & challenges which I of course posted on Facebook so that all our friends and family could follow my journey. It included going to a Spa, travelling to Sun City, Pilansberg and Cape Town and doing things like archery, game drives & wine tasting just to name a few. On our 9 year anniversary the 26th September 2014, we went to have a picnic in Kirstenbosch Gardens, one of my challenges of course. There I opened my last clue which read: “To be continued for the rest of your life… if you marry me?” As I looked up he stood on one knee next to me and I said YES!
