Tips to achieve the modern farmhouse style in your home with the gorgeous range of @decobella_sa tiles

In a previous article I introduced you to Decobella – an on-trend tile import company that literally has some of the prettiest tiles I have seen to date. I thought that I would share some of their tiles that could assist you in your pursuit of farm house prettiness.

How to achieve the modern farmhouse style using Decobella tiles

1. Neutral color palette
The use of earth toned and natural paint colours on your interior walls. Great colours to use are greys, beidges and off whites if you prefer not to use white. Avoid painting each room in your home a different color, rather stick to the same colour throughout your home and add one or two feature walls. Neutral wall tiles for the kitchen and neutral cabinet doors are the perfect match whether you make use of square or oblong tiles for this look is up to you.

2. Natural textures
The use of natural textures like raw woods whether for flooring, ceilings, wall panels or accent furniture pieces. Wood look tiles are a great real wood alternative and they can be used for flooring or wall applications. Tiles are off-course much easier to
clean and requires little to no maintenance.

3. The distressed look is totally fresh
By chipping, sanding or using various chalk paint techniques on furnishings, doors, frames and other decor accessories will give them a worn, weathered and much loved appearance. Did you know that you can actually find weathered look tiles that can achieve the same? Quite a few of the Decobella tile ranges do have this look, deciding on which one to use might not be as easy as it seems, one of the favorites is the FS Star range.

Even the use of intricate vintage patterns can accentuate the look, these Nijar tiles is just the thing.

Rumor has it that Decobella will be adding a gorgeously Glossy Artisan tile range that is the perfect fit for this Farmhouse look!
