Photographer, Schantél Merwé captured this festive JanHarmsGat wedding. Merlin is a pilot and Carla was a flight attendant that met whilst working together. Although the couple now live in Mauritius they decided to come back to South Africa for their wedding. The planning took around nine months, most of the groundwork was done on their visits to SA as well as over Skype and email.
The colour was inspired by the colour of Hydrangeas that Carla wanted as part of her day. Carlas’ mother painted the canvas for the seating chart that made the day even more special and they opted for a picnic style reception.
